A Showcase of Transformation

Teachers from schools in Blantyre, Zomba, and Thyolo set up creative pavilions to showcase their innovative teaching techniques, art, and new approaches to classroom instruction. The highlight of the day was hearing firsthand success stories from the teachers themselves—stories of how their newly acquired skills have improved student engagement, made learning more fun, and fostered collaboration among educators.

National educational officials from the Directorate of Teacher Education and Development (DTED), the Directorate of Basic Education, and district education officials (DEMS) were present to witness the incredible impact that Rays of Hope’s training programs have had on these teachers and their classrooms.

Celebrating Peer Learning Communities

One of the most exciting outcomes of our teacher training initiatives has been the establishment of Teacher Peer Learning Communities. These communities allow teachers to meet regularly, exchange resources, and share best practices. By supporting one another, teachers have been able to continuously refine their teaching methods and improve the learning experience for their students.

The success of these peer learning communities represents a promising shift in Malawi’s educational landscape. We are hopeful that the Ministry of Education will continue to recognize the value of this collaborative culture and work to integrate it into the broader national education system.

Scaling the Program for Greater Impact
