In 2024, Rays of Hope embarked on an ambitious journey to revolutionize classroom learning by introducing the Teaching at the Right Level (TARL) approach in 172 public primary schools across Blantyre Urban and Rural. This initiative aims to reshape traditional education practices and enhance literacy and numeracy outcomes for primary school learners. What began as a pilot program in just two schools—Chilala and Likulu Primary Schools—has now grown into a transformative movement, reaching 13,808 learners across all classes in over 40 schools.

On September 13, 2024, Rays of Hope had the privilege of hosting a remarkable teacher training conference that brought together practicing primary school teachers from our partner schools. The event was a true celebration of how our training initiatives have transformed classrooms and improved the teaching experience across several districts in Malawi.

At Rays of Hope Malawi, we believe in recognizing and celebrating the dedication of teachers and school administrators who go above and beyond to make a significant impact on education. On the 21st of December 2023, we organized the much-anticipated Excellence Awards Celebration for the outstanding primary schools participating in our Teacher Skill Strengthening Program in Blantyre Urban.
